This is OurNeighborhood!

We are getting ready to launch a new engagement platform, called OurNeighborhood, that allows members to easily interact and communicate online, empowering colleagues from across the system to collaborate, share and network with each other easily and effectively. Groups may also form around topical areas and shared interests, spawning knowledge communities.  Social tools such as commenting capabilities and ranking stats will ensure quick and easy access to the most relevant/popular information.

You asked. We delivered. Over the past year, the Development Services Team has conducted a variety of primary and secondary research aimed at learning more about best practices and needs to increase systemwide engagement among local station development teams. The feedback we received has led us to Higher Logic’s online engagement platform as a solution. OurNeighborhood has been designed to ensure you can access the content, groups, members, and discussions that interest you most—quickly and easily.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the features:

  • Enhanced email capabilities. Now you’ll receive emails that are more structured and easier to read.
  • Faster Search results – within the new platform, your staff directory search is faster than ever.
  • Prefer to get everything via RSS feed? Now you can select any or all the communities in which you are a member, and they’ll be aggregated into a single feed!
  • Like a document that you read? You can add it to your favorites for quick and easy access in the future.

OurNeighborhood will continually evolve to meet your needs and those of our ever-changing system.

Want to get involved right away? We are looking for 50 volunteers to join the Beta Test Group. If you would like to help us kick the tires of the system, please email Mikail Faalasli, Community Manager, to sign up! If you’re selected as a Beta Tester you’ll hear back from us by the end of the year.

See you on MAIN STREET!
